Hannibal's house, Sunday afternoon
Jun. 7th, 2015 02:58 pmHannibal had gone looking for things to wear that would be comfortable for flying, but was somewhat stymied by the fact that he'd always been a woman in warm weather. He eventually settled on wool pants and a shirt, and his motorcycle jacket. It fit, anyway, and ought to keep him warm. He'd dug out a scarf, too, in case Jono might think it necessary, but gloves...well, he would simply have to have cold hands.
The cats had been fed and were currently sleeping in one of the bay windows, with Beethoven pretending to ignore Joni had her chin on him. Dinner for this evening was prepared or ready for preparing. "Ready whenever you are," he called out, thinking it as well in case Jono wasn't within hearing range.
[OOC: For the still-a-lady!]

//Speed of sound,// he added, //more accurately. It's a sonic collar, I've never tried to push it to go faster than that for fear of the bloody thing burning out and leaving me a bloody smear on the ground below.//

Date: 2015-06-07 11:58 pm (UTC)He flew out over the water, up and up and up so that they could look out over it into the forever that it disappeared into. And then, with a grin, and holding on to Hannibal a little more tightly, he let them both go into free-fall.
No, he wasn't planning on letting them splatter on the water's surface when they hit the Atlantic, either, but he got a bit of a lunatic high doing this sort of thing, so sue him.

Date: 2015-06-08 12:17 am (UTC)But a few seconds before they would have hit, their trajectory started to drift, until they were swooping low enough to touch the water if they cared to, and then gaining altitude again.
"God, I've missed this," he murmured aloud, steering them back toward the island.

Date: 2015-06-08 12:48 am (UTC)//Hannibal, I can drop you without dropping you.//
The 'making hard light objects' function on his collar was amazing for that. He twisted about in mid-air, so that he was flying with his back to the ground and Hannibal above him, and he grinned again.
//But since you asked so nicely.//
Hannibal should probably brace himself for a lot of spins and dips and loops over the water, now, the wake of the air following them alone cutting through the waves below them. They were going a little faster than what would be a comfortable cruising speed against the wind now, yes, but there was a faint blue glow in the air ahead of them. Because if he was showing off, yes, Jonothon was absolutely going to provide a windshield.

Date: 2015-06-08 04:41 pm (UTC)...was there a giant squid? Why had nobody ever mentioned the giant squid?

Date: 2015-06-08 04:44 pm (UTC)//Good.// Jono smiled, content to just fly for a while, basking in the feel of being in the sky again. It had been far too long. //Didn't think I'd ever be able to do this again, you know. A year and a half ago, after I came back on fire, I mean.//

Date: 2015-06-09 12:31 am (UTC)There was a pause, and then he was shooting Hannibal a cheeky grin.
//Then again, when you make that offer, I'm more likely to take it as a come-on.//

Date: 2015-06-11 01:46 am (UTC)So help him, Hannibal, you had Jono contemplating this.
Well. It probably wouldn't kill him, anyway.
