I hope you will forgive this rather impersonal mode of communication, but time is an issue, and I thought this stood the best chance of reaching you all promptly.
Some of you may know my student Ms Rilla Blythe; she comes to Fandom from Prince Edward Island in 1915, and her town currently has quite a number of young men fighting in the battle of the Somme. This weekend, I spoke with her visitor, Ms Susan Baker. It seems that they could use items such as food, blankets, and assorted goods which they could donate to the men or use in the service of pledge drives.
Rilla will be spending the break next week at home, and I would very much like to send such things with her. I'm aware that for most of you, as for myself, this is a war that is already long over, but for Rilla it is not, and I hope that by showing her a bit of support, we might help to ease the burden on her and her family.
If you have any questions, please ask, and I will do my best to answer them. If you have anything which you can donate, please bring it by my office before the end of the week, so that I may deliver it to Rilla.
Thank you all,
Dr. Hannibal Lecter

[OOC: if Hannibal's ever met you and you're a teacher or townie, unless your address is secret (or you don't have one), consider yourself addressed! If you want to have gotten this and haven't ever met him, feel free to handwave that someone mentioned you to him at some point! :) ]
