Saturday morning, Baltimore to Fandom
Aug. 17th, 2013 08:42 amZhari had said she was ready for her final project, and a few of the other students had indicated they might be as well, so Hannibal packed a few things and headed out to the island.
It was a lovely day, so he elected to walk over the causeway, enjoying the weather. He thought he spotted some rather large birds over the town, but that would be one of the least strange things he'd seen here, so he kept track of them in his peripheral vision and otherwise ignored them.
When he made it across to the town, it was like someone had stuffed cotton in his ears. He shook his head and tried speaking; he could feel the vibrations of his voice, but there was no sound. Worriedly, he backed up...and could hear again. So, only the island, then.
He sighed. Well, this would make the students' projects interesting. They could always write on his tablet, at least. If we stopped for every strange occurrence, we could be here for ages.
He hefted his bag and kept going.
