Hannibal and Jono's house, Saturday morning

Hannibal slept even less than Jono these days, but that didn't stop him from lying in bed and enjoying the closeness and occasionally drifting off. When he woke again and stretched, it was still early; he decided to increase his chances of waking Jono up by wandering down to make coffee.

There were odd differences in the decor of the house that he couldn't quite place - what had Fandom been doing today? But it wasn't enough to bother him until he headed back upstairs with the tray. And stopped short at the top. "Beethoven?" He knelt carefully and held his hand out to the old cat, who sniffed it a little suspiciously before turning around and heading to the bedroom.

By the time Hannibal set the coffee service down on the nightstand, Beethoven was curled at the foot of the bed and Hannibal was running confused possibilities through his head.

"They must," Jono replied, smirking a little and turning around to nuzzle his face into the crook of Hannibal's neck. "People keep actually trusting us with them."

And they kept turning out okay. Jono was so bloody proud of the lot of them.

Hannibal hummed happily, returning the gesture. "If you keep that up, we won't get out of the house for hours."

Which was certainly not a complaint.

"I see nothing the matter with that."

Breakfast was getting cold. That wasn't stopping Jonothon from nibbling right there, though. Because hi, good morning, there weren't any kids at home, and the cats could only judge them so much.

Breakfast was only coffee so far; coffee could always be reheated.

"Fortunately, neither do I." Hannibal wasn't nibbling yet, but he was licking Jono's neck, just little tastes, as he backed him over the bed.

Well, coffee was the most important part of breakfast.

Or maybe Hannibal was the most important part of breakfast? Either way, Jono was absolutely letting Hannibal nudge him back toward the bed, leaning his head back to give Hannibal better access to his throat as he raised his hands to grab at Hannibal's hair.

Trust. Complete trust.

That trust went both ways these days.

And personally, Hannibal saw Jono as the most important part of breakfast.

Which didn't mean he wasn't going to just kiss and suck a bit, as his hands went wandering. Every meal needed a bit of spice and preparation.
