Infopost - *huff* *huff* am I late??
Aug. 29th, 2015 12:12 pmRight! Posts! of Info! That I should do!
Hey, look - people! In no particular order.
Jalian d'Arsennette y ken Selvren
Or, "Jalian of the Fires of the clan of people with silver eyes".

PB: Jasmine Sanders. Pity my Photoshop skills.
Yes, her eyes are actual, metallic-looking silver (with a sort of oil-slick rainbow effect). That would be related to the "Fires" up there. These are things that happen when one of your ancestresses wanders into a radioactive burn zone after the apocalypse. Her hair is pure white, and she gets chalky white instead of tan in the sun - those are things that happen when you survive a negative-entropy timeline. (We assume. Nobody else ever has, yet.)
Jalian is a Junior from a canon you probably don't know (but should and it's online for free and awesome) - Daniel Keys Moran's The Armageddon Blues. Original huge infopost here, but in brief: she's from a post-apocalyptic matriarchal warrior tribe that had a whole cultural exchange thing with a group of aliens. As a result, Jalian is perfectly used to subsistence living and can hunt and kill with the best of them. She came to Fandom knowing almost nothing of modern science or culture other than what books and handed-down stories said. And she can also build, calibrate, and rewrite a cross-dimensional-and-time machine and other assorted really advanced technology.
She got here when she was trying to use such a machine to travel back along her own timeline to stop armageddon; Fandom decided to grab her instead. Since then, she's learned to drive like a maniac, hack computers with a moderate amount of success, and use money (which she still thinks is hysterical). She is vegetarian, intolerant to processed sugar, bisexual, and only now reluctantly admitting that many men are probably people, too. She can see from infrared to the fringes of gamma radiation, speak to other telepaths mind-to-mind, and move faster than modern human eyes can track. She has an impish sense of humor.
She lives in room 520 with
goforthe_optics, has a bit of a crush on
tigerundercover, and thinks
smilestopscars is fun.
Hrothbert "Bob" of Bainbridge
This is Bob:
This is also Bob:
Bob is from Chicago, currently - specifically the Chicago of the TV version of The Dresden Files. Bob has been dead for over a thousand years. He knows a lot of magic, most of it extremely useful and a lot of it extremely dangerous. Just about all of it totally useless to him personally, since he is (barring island oddities or consensual possession) completely incorporeal.
Bob is a teacher, mostly of things related to magic. He is a snarky, lecherous bastard that will never fear to tell you exactly what he thinks (of you or anything else). He's prone to wandering about the island and snooping when other people are asleep, since he never is.
Original infopost of length (with vids!) here.
Cecil Gershwin Palmer
Cecil hails from Night Vale, where he has run the local radio for years. He has a boyfriend he will happily rhapsodize about - ♥Carlos♥, who is a Scientist. He got de-aged to 14 to avoid the severe penalties from a non-returned library book, and moved to Fandom because it was a nice enough place, not too weird, where time moves faster than at home. Mostly. Inasmuch as time is real anyway, which is "not very", right?
Apart from an occasional spurt of knowledge of things he'd have no way of knowing, Cecil has no powers. (And if he ever uses that on your character, I'll work it out OOC first.) Except for an ability to roll with just about every punch ever, and the fact he comes from someplace weirder than Fandom. These two things may be related. Unreasonably frightened of librarians.
Is currently a 16 and a junior, coming back from having spent the summer at home saving it from Desert Bluffs. Rooming with Four; good friends with Kenzi (the best ex-wife ever) and Raven D. Has a hate-on for Eliot, who killed him on an AU weekend (without even introducing himself!), which mostly means he pouts and scowls a lot when talking about him.
Full details here.
Dr. Hannibal Lecter
Hannibal comes to Fandom from the world of his TV canon, where at the end of season 2 he fled to Fandom instead of France.
He's a man of the world (many, at this point). He's a trauma surgeon, a psychiatrist, an artist and illustrator, a gourmet chef, and a musician and composer. He tends toward the classic with a twist - Classical music, but also theremin. Three-piece suits, but plaid. Gourmet food, but made of people.
You know, little things.
He lives at 22 Phoenix Place with his partner
furnaceface (though it's totally not also his house, really, no matter how much of his stuff he moves in and how much he redecorates *cough*), Jono's cat Joni and his own cat Beethoven and a mini-flock of flamingos permanently camped on his lawn.
No, we have no idea how these two ended up together. It seems to work for them.
He's generally friendly to most folks (except Anakin Skywalker). He doesn't eat anybody on the island (except for those clones of Pinkie's one time, but in his defense they were really annoying, and also they tasted horrible and gave him flamingos). He doesn't feed anybody on the island human flesh except by prior OOC arrangement. But if he's making a meal for himself, there's a good chance it used to have a name.
His secret is known by Jono (whom he told),
glacial_queen (whom their AU child told), and
nuclear_snide (who possessed him).

Me!
Lorelei, aka Llwyden pretty much everywhere. From Georgia (US), currently living around Cleveland (OH, US), which puts me in the Eastern US time zone. Manager at a tech support company, personally doing mostly coding and database development. Work is utterly crazy at the moment and no end in sight, so my tagging during the day is extremely spotty but I'm usually on evenings and weekends.
I have multiple degrees, none of which are in tech - Master's in Folklore, BA in Linguistics, BS in Psychology which I'm sure my mother would be pleased to know I'm finally putting to work, right? Also ABD in Comparative Literature, Arthurian focus (Middle Welsh, Old Irish, Old French, Old/Middle English). Complete and utter music geek. (I lettered in chorus!)
I love playing with just about anyone, so never fear to jump on in! I'm often available on AIM (Llwyden) and don't mind being pinged out of the blue (though I may or may not be prompt to answer). Always reachable from any of my characters' e-mail addresses (on their profiles).
I have a lot more video game addictions than I did a few years ago, for which I entirely blame this game (and I almost entirely blame Len).

Since he's had several centuries with no way to attack anyone or defend himself except in conversation (but no way for anyone to really shut him up, either), he's developed a nuclear arsenal of snide. - Jim Butcher
