"I guess we'll see what the future brings," Kanan agreed, shrugging. "I'm not in a hurry. I don't imagine Okadiah has held my job for me for this long anyway. But where I'm standing, it's the devil I know against the devil that apparently randomly gave me graying hair for a few days, and that makes for the sort of life choice I've never really had to make before."
He wasn't even going to ask the next question that came to mind, about why he couldn't exactly remember what anybody else looked like. The less he acknowledged that something had even happened that weekend, the less he had to worry about the future.
