Hannibal's house, Saturday

Hannibal was up fairly early, but he wasn't cooking just yet - instead, he'd been indulging in a bit of uploading and photo-quality printing. He might not have a frame for it yet, but he could repurpose an existing one for the moment.

When Jono woke up and made it downstairs, he'd find a picture of them in their outfits from last night prominently displayed in the foyer. Surprise!

"True that. Life of a Fandom kid, after all," he reached out for a hug. "I'm fine for now. Gonna need a note to explain to mom why I'm late, though, or I'll be grounded for life again. You?"

"Played a prank on Mr Logan and got caught," JJ sighed. "I don't know which was worse, the punishment from mom or the lecture from Da' on being caught."

He grinned. "The hummingbird is named after you now, by the way. And every time Da' sees it his eye twitches a little."

"No way!" JJ shook his head, holding up his hands as if to ward off the idea. "Dad just has issues with alternate realities, and mom keep teasing him about yours."

"You know? When I asked about your other dad they just got real quiet. Dad kind of did that fuzzy dark feeling he gets sometimes? But they didn't tell me anything." JJ shrugged. He'd considered it enough of a mystery last year to try and flip through his mom's old yearbooks but there wasn't anything in there. Now, he just tossed it off as an alternate reality thing.

"Yeah. Hey, maybe this Da' knows? Or can guess? Although he seemed kind of freaked out last year when he heard who my mom was." JJ made a face. He hadn't gone all fuzzy dark though.

"I always have a plan!" Angela grinned. "This year it mostly means I'm going to sneak into Father's study and make copies of that picture in the hall so I can bring one home." That outfit of Jono's was amazing.

Angela's eyes lit up. "You didn't see it?" She grabbed his hand and made for the foyer. "If your mom loves to tease your Da about it..."

She turned him to see the picture Hannibal had slipped into a frame earlier - the two of them in their prom getups. "Isn't it glorious?" All that brocade!

"OMIGOSH! That's AWESOME!" JJ fumbled for his phone and took a bajillion snaps of that photo. "Mom will die! She's always complaining she can't get him into fancy dress. This will totally get me out of something!"
