She picked her way through the ruined hall, stepping around frozen carnage and burned alike (some of the fires were still smouldering, though nothing badly enough to force them to evacuate), and taking little notice of any of it.
There was a pile of bones that she equally paid little mind to as she made her way over to where the cake had been. She didn't find any of it to be disturbing. It just was.
She hugged her new toy and surveyed the remains of the cake with open dismay, just a pristine little girl amidst all the chaos that had been left behind, with priorities different than most peoples'.
